Claims:

  1. My daughters bedroom where we had the heated floor set at 95°F and the furnace set at 25°C and we couldn’t get her room temperature above 14°C…we had a contractor remove the drywall and this is what we found – the amount and flow of air blowing in is unbelievable. Backstory – 14 Estates forgot to install the structural steel supports in the wall and didn’t realize it until after all the drywall and spray foam insulation had already been completed. They cut out all the existing spray foam insulation to install the steel posts and then their “acceptable“ way of re-insulating the area was to literally use a can of insulation. Please note that this is exactly the condition that they left it and exactly how it looked when we removed the drywall.
  2. My daughters bedroom where we had the heated floors set at 95°F and the furnace set at 25°C and we couldn’t get her room temperature above 14°C.
  3. Fourteen Estates ‘forgot’ to install steel support beams so they had to cut out all the spray foam insulation to install them after and neglected to re-install the proper amount of insulation or seal before closing the wall up again. This is wind blowing into the bedroom. We could not get or keep the room warm and now we know why.

Fourteen Estates Response: The insulation was done by the homeowner’s trade. We did not do this. The beam was on back order and we notified the homeowner’s foam guy not to foam, but he did and we had to cut it to install the post. Their foam guy was supposed to come back and foam but did not.
